The Town of Superior is home to many diverse citizens who possess an abundance of talent, skills, and experience. To ensure an effective and representative government, the Board of Trustees seeks individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds to participate on different resident Advisory Groups. Advisory Groups are established for the purpose of reviewing information and making recommendations to the Board of Trustees on Town issues. Within Advisory Groups there is no difference between a commission, committee or council. Specific duties and functions are established individually for each Advisory Group. These Advisory Groups do not have decision-making authorities.

You may apply for a Town Advisory Group at any time, regardless of whether there is a current or upcoming vacancy. Interviews and Town Board appointments are typically held quarterly in March, June, September and December of each year, unless otherwise noted. Interviews occur during the first Town Board meeting of the month and appointments during the second meeting of the month. Applicants for Advisory Groups must be residents of the Town of Superior.

Please see the following links for more detailed information and applications for each group.

Committee Meeting Public Comment Guidelines

Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend Advisory Committee meetings. Please note per public meeting rules of procedure: meeting agendas are set in advance and will include public comment; however, in order to maintain the approved agenda and meeting schedule, individual public comment is typically limited to 5 minutes; the committee is not obligated to respond to public comments; and once public comment is closed, guests are asked to refrain from further comment unless upon request.  Members of the public are welcome to email the committee or committee Chairs with any follow up items or to request a presentation or specific agenda item for a future meeting. Questions related to public comment procedure can be sent to mikaelag@superiorcolorado.gov.
