Ultraviolet Disinfection -- Completion Phase Project to install Ultraviolet Disinfection at the Town's Water Treatment Plant. This project will improve the treatment and disinfection of the Town's drinking water and is required to meet current and upcoming regulatory requirements. The construction is substantially complete and final inspections, training, and programming of the installation are underway and should be completed in September 2024. This project will also reduce the Town's chlorine use at the water treatment plant. |

Traffic Signal Pole Replacement -- Complete Project to replace three traffic signal poles as part of ongoing maintenance program. Poles that were replaced are located at Rock Creek & Indiana and Rock Creek & Coalton, with caissons to be installed in February and poles installed in Spring 2024. The new poles will be rust-resistant and rated for a longer lifespan than the current painted poles. There will be no changes to the timing of the light or the lane alignment. |

Wayfinding -- Complete Wayfinding signage has been designed for regional trails in Superior. This wayfinding project will help make trails easier to navigate with the growing infrastructure in Town. |

Coal Creek Pedestrian Crossing -- Construction Phase Project to install a pedestrian crossing over Coal Creek near 1st Avenue and the Rogers Farm Development, connecting the Coal Creek Trail and the Mayhoffer-Singletree Trail. Design is complete and construction has been awarded to Naranjo Civil. The bridge has been ordered and is being fabricated with construction schedule to start Fall 2024. |

Rock Creek Parkway Road Reconstruction – Construction, Final Striping Project to reconstruct and resurface Rock Creek Parkway where necessary in phases over the next 5 years. The reconstruction includes treating the subgrade to resist expansive soils and installing a new road. 2024 work consists of reconstruction and resurfacing of Rock Creek Parkway from McCaslin Blvd. to S. Indiana St. Additional work to be completed includes replacement of concrete as needed, median xeriscaping, removal of the right-turn lanes at South Pitkin Ave., removal of third lane from South Pitkin Ave. to McCaslin Blvd., addition of a crosswalk on the west side of the South Pitkin intersection, restriping of Rock Creek Parkway from McCaslin Blvd. to Coalton Rd. to include two reduced width lanes in each direction and a larger buffered bike lane to improve multi-mobility, and pedestrian crossing enhancements. The Construction contract was approved and awarded to Asphalt Specialties Company by the Town Board of Trustees on Monday, May 13. Major construction is complete. Striping of Rock Creek Parkway from McCaslin Blvd. to Coalton Rd. is scheduled to be finished in September, 2024. Rock Creek Parkway Bridge Rehabilitation -- Design Phase The Town secured CDOT grant funding to assist with the rehabilitation of the bridge and underpass in Purple Park near the McCaslin/Rock Creek Parkway intersection. Design updates and federal review for the grant funding is underway. Construction is expected to begin Winter 2024 with substantial completion in Winter 2025. |

McCaslin Pedestrian Crossing-- Design Phase Project to install a pedestrian underpass under McCaslin Boulevard north of Rock Creek Parkway to connect the Vista Ridge Trail near Downtown Superior to the Mayhoffer Singletree Trail. The project feasibility study has been completed and the Town is pursuing grant funding for the design phase of the project, which is currently budgeted for 2026. |

Safe Streets for All -- Design Phase The Town is partnering with Boulder County to create a Vision Zero Action Plan, which will identify areas of concern for transportation safety and allow the Town to pursue external funding opportunities. The Plan is being developed currently with an upcoming opportunity to provide feedback at the Chili Fest. Original town Alley Paving -- Design Phase Project to pave the existing alleys in Original Town over the next several years. This project will convert the existing milled alleys to concrete alleys, improving the alley durability and allowing the Town to better maintain the alleys. Currently, only two alleys are budgeted to be paved in 2024, with additional alleys to be paved in future years. If approved, the sales tax ballot measure will allow the Town to expedite alley paving. Plans for the 2024 alley paving can be found at the link below. |

Sagamore Asphalt Work -- Planning Phase This project will repair the road damage caused by the Marshall Fire and the rebuilding process. This is a FEMA-funded project and is expected to be completed in 2025. |
