FREE COMPOST is available to Superior residents ("closing the loop" processing and re-using our yard waste drop-off site materials). Any Superior resident can stop by the Yard Waste Recycling Facility during the hours listed above to receive compost for their yard. There is a limited amount of compost so it will be available on a first-come first-served basis – please be prepared to show identification with a Superior address.
Compost does wonders for the soil allowing air into the soil, allowing the soil to retain moisture longer and providing beneficial bacteria for the plants in your landscape. Using ground yard waste mulch in your landscape can reduce the amount of water used to maintain your plants in a healthy state. Mulching needs to be done every year to maintain an insulating layer between the atmosphere and the soil. You can put it on now to prepare your beds for planting.
