Neighborhood Sponsorship Program
>> Neighborhood Block Party Support Sponsorships
Purpose: Creating inclusive, social opportunities for neighbors to come together is one way neighborhoods grow stronger and more resilient. The Town invites neighborhood groups to submit sponsorship proposals for 2024 Neighborhood Block Party Support Sponsorships of up to $200 in the form of a gift card. The primary purpose of these sponsorships is to fund neighborhood events that build lasting, positive relationships among neighbors and support neighborhood service projects, social gatherings and workshops.
Intended Use: To be used to purchase food and non-alcoholic beverages to be served at a neighborhood event or supplies for a neighborhood clean-up.
Sponsorship Distribution: Applicants will have the option to select a pre-loaded gift card to use at either Target or Costco.
>> Neighborhood Experience Sponsorships
Purpose: Neighborhood Experience Sponsorships of up to $300 are intended to create a memorable day or night where neighbors benefit from time spent together in a public space. Examples of an Experience could be a local concert, a group fitness class, a workshop where new skills are learned, an outdoor movie, or a cornhole tournament.
Intended Use: To be used to bring neighbors together for an experience, workshop or event in a public space. In your proposal, please identify how or to whom funds will be spent to deliver the experience.
Sponsorship Distribution: Sponsorships will be provided on a reimbursement basis at the completion of the project(s) or event(s) stated in the application.
>> Neighborhood Project Sponsorships
Purpose: We believe that every neighborhood deserves a great community space - one that residents can take ownership of and make their own. Your neighborhood may already have an informal place where “neighboring” happens, such as a front porch where you get together on warm evenings, a local park where pets greet each other, or a neighborhood garden where information and “hellos” are shared. The Neighborhood Project Sponsorship is an opportunity to activate these places by providing a sponsorship of up to $500 to help drive neighborhood improvement projects. Examples might include painting a mural, neighborhood enhancements like planting, weeding, or trimming, or adding a bench.
Intended Use: The primary purpose of this sponsorship is to build community, enhance public spaces, and spark conversation about community resources, safety and environmental stewardship.
Sponsorship Distribution: Sponsorships will be provided on a reimbursement basis at the completion of the project(s) or event(s) stated in the application.
