Service dogs are welcome.  All other furry friends are too, but to be sure everyone has a great time there are a few rules to keep everyone safe and happy:

  • Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a non-retractable leash at all times or at a locked 6’ maximum lead
  • Please avoid bringing dogs into the food areas (chili cook-off, food trucks and eating areas)
  • Please bring your own water for your pet
  • Please bring waste bags and clean up after your pet
  • Dogs must be current on rabies vaccination
  • The Town of Superior event organizer reserves the right to eject any aggressive or obviously ill animals
  • Pet owners assume full responsibility for their pets
Do I need to bring a lawn chair if I want to watch the music?

That’s up to you! A covered seating area with chairs and tables will be available for event goers, but you may also choose to bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the music in the grass area.

Will there be any water at the event?

Yes, water stations are located throughout the event. Please bring your refillable water bottle and stay hydrated.

How can I support the Town’s Zero Waste Goals?

We are taking action to reduce waste at Town events in order to align with the strategies outlined in the Town’s Sustainability Action Plan,. Here are a few simple actions you can take to help support a cleaner and greener community event:

  • Bring your own reusable water bottle. This event will have a free water station sponsored by Eldorado.
  • Recycle responsibly – when in doubt, throw it out! Each waste station has signs about what can be recycled, landfilled, or composted. Please reference the info on the signs and recycle responsibly. If you aren’t sure where to put waste, please put it into the landfill bin so you don’t contaminate other waste streams.
  • RETURN any REUSABLE service ware (bowls and cups) provided. This event will provide reusable cups and plates for chili and beer; please do not throw these away or sneak them home – it comes at a cost!
  • Bring your own reusable bag. Say no to plastic bags! Opt to put items collected into a reusable bag rather than taking disposable bags.
  • Join the GREEN TEAM. Green Team volunteers will receive a $100 visa gift card as a thank you for serving in this very important role. Help support the Town's zero-waste efforts by educating and guiding attendees regarding where to place the reusable chili bowls and water cups, trash and recycle. We will also ask a few folks to watch the event exits to make sure reusables are not being taken home (missing reusables come with a cost to the Town). This is mostly a hands-off assignment; pickers will be provided if sorting is needed.  Volunteer must arrive at 1:30pm for a brief training session and work the full shift until 6pm. Breaks are supported.  Green Team volunteers also receive a special green-team t-shirt and a free lunch. REGISTER for the Green Team.
