Join the Town of Superior and members of the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Advisory Committee on Saturday, September 24 for a community service project at Coyote Ridge Open Space in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of National Day of Service and Remembrance. National Day of Service began in 2002 in an effort to honor the victims, their families, and the heroes of 9/11, keeping the spirit of unity, empathy and service alive, and passing it on to future generations.
This community service opportunity involves trail maintenance at Coyote Ridge to restore vegetation, re-establish trails, and prevent erosion helping sustain our trail system. This project ranges in in levels of difficulty from very light to heavy labor. Four (4) project areas have been identified each with tasks to fit every skill level allowing families or groups with ranging abilities to work together in the same area.
No prior experience is needed. All equipment and tools will be provided. Please wear clothes you can get dirty. To ensure safety please were closed-toe shoes, protective glasses, and bring water to stay hydrated. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
