Cancelled -- The History of the Arapaho People in the Superior Area

Regretfully Cancelled -- October 18 program, "The History of the Arapaho People in the Superior Area"

Unfortunately, tonight’s speaker event, "The History of the Arapaho People in the Superior Area", has been cancelled.

Ben Ridgley, who is a Northern Arapaho Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and based in Wyoming, is unable to make it to Colorado this evening.

We apologize for the short notice and will likely reschedule this event.

Ever wonder what life was like in Superior before there was a Superior? The Historical Commission is hosting "The History of the Arapaho People in the Superior Area" on Oct. 18, now starting at 7 p.m., in Superior's Town Hall (124 E Coal Creek Drive).

The Front Range was home to many Native American peoples for millennia. Among them were the Arapaho people, whom U.S. settlers met in what is now Boulder County following the 1859 Colorado gold rush. These Colorado lands remain important to the Arapaho Tribes, through their history, ancestors, culture, and traditions. Hear about the history and connections of the Arapaho people to the area directly from Ben Ridgley, who is a Northern Arapaho Tribal Historic Preservation Officer.

Learn about the Arapaho people on whose ancestral homelands Superior is located. Know history, know Superior, know yourself.
