Mountain View Fire & Rescue and Boulder County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Core Teams will be hosting the first Public Engagement meeting for Marshall Fire Communities on Saturday, June 10th from 9-11:30am at the Superior Community Center. Community members in Superior, Louisville, Marshall, and Eldorado Springs will be engaged to capture their voice related to concerns, needs, solutions and project to reduce vulnerabilities from wildfire in an open house style format. The CWPP is a living document that is designed to assist communities in assessing high risk wildfire areas and implements best practices for reducing risk in Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) and Grassland Open Spaces. Staff has coordinated hosting for this important engagement in Superior and will serve as facilitators during the event. Partners from the County, Mountain View Fire Rescue, and local municipalities are all working tirelessly together in collaboration on best practices to keep communities safe from future wildfires.
