The Town is seeking volunteers for a new Open Space Ambassador program. This program will help restore the native habitat of our open space by reducing the noxious weed population.
Volunteers will receive training in how to identify and safely remove targeted weeds. It's anticipated that a minimum of 5 hours a month from each volunteer will be sufficient to make a significant impact in our open space environment.
Interested individuals can register for the Open Space Ambassador Training Session which will be held on April 28 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Superior Community Center (1500 Coalton Rd.).
This pilot program has limited spots available, so don’t miss your chance to help this year! If you'd like to sign-up for the program, but can't attend the training session, email Open Space Ranger Tom Keras at tomk@superiorcolorado.gov.
