Join us for a 2-mile guided hike on the moonlit trails of Coyote Ridge Open Space. On the hike, we will talk about mysterious full moons and what exactly happens during a lunar eclipse. Unfortunately, the eclipse starts at 1:02 a.m. and peaks at 3:16 a.m. so we will not be viewing the eclipse on the hike, but don’t let that stop you from viewing it!
Please bring headlamps that include red light for nighttime viewing, water, snacks, sturdy shoes for the hike, and any sight enhancement items for night sky viewing.
The parking lot closes to moon viewers at 8:15 p.m. No camping is allowed at Coyote Ridge Open Space.
Registration is required for this program.
