Painting in Purple Park is back! The CAPS committee is proud to host the 2022 En Plein Air Painting Festival, an event where the public will be invited to stroll around the park to watch over a dozen artists create their masterpieces. A separate activity station will be available for youths and other participants who would like to try their hand at painting. Music, food and other activities will also be available at this artful fall event.

What is plein air? En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air” and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view. The method was essential to many impressionist artists such as Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
