SUPERIOR'S ROOTS, 17 YEARS OF PLANTING TREES
Superior has been a Tree City USA Community for 17 years and counting!
While we won't be able to hold the annual community tree planting festival until later, let's come together now to celebrate Superior's 17th Annual Arbor Day virtually! This year we have curated a wonderful mix of online activities that you can access on this page in the list below.
Arbor Day is on Friday, April 24th and the Board of Trustees have proclaimed April 25th as Arbor Day in Superior. Read the Town of Superior Arbor Day Proclamation! We invite you to partake in as much of the fun as you like now through April 26th.
About Arbor Day: “Arbor Day is an annual observance that celebrates the role of trees in our lives and promotes tree planting and care. As a formal holiday, it was first observed in 1872, in Nebraska, but tree planting festivals are as old as civilization. The tree has appeared throughout history and literature as the symbol of life.” (Arbor Day Foundation, www.arborday.org)
