Researchers from CU Boulder and Front Range municipalities are studying grassland fuels and mitigation methods like grazing, burning, and mowing. Their goal is to understand how these methods impact plant diversity, soil health, and fire risk. By combining field observations, experimental management, and fire behavior modeling, they aim to identify the most effective strategies for maintaining healthy grasslands and reducing fire hazards. Jon Henn from the University of Colorado Boulder will talk about this important research and answer questions about the project.
