Rita Dozal was elected Trustee for the Town of Superior in November 2014. Dozal is a 21 year resident of Superior. As Trustee, Dozal represents Superior on the Denver Regional Council of Government, or DRCOG. Prior to her election, Dozal served as a member of the town’s Planning Commission and actively participated in Town Board and committee meetings, home owners associations and community activities, and various Town visioning and planning efforts. Her term expires November 2018.

Dozal honed her business skills while working in multi-disciplined senior management positions at US WEST Communications; and, as a co-owner and top management consultant she has helped create new businesses, develop innovative and strategic responses, identify market opportunities, and improve service to maximize value. She has specialized knowledge in strategic process improvement, opportunity visioning, leadership and management of large customer focused organizations, financial management, public policy, people strategies, and operational systems.

Dozal was born and raised on a farm near Tea, South Dakota and has lived and worked in South Dakota, Nebraska, Arizona and Colorado. She loves living in Superior with her husband, Frank, and their cat, Ezmeralda, and enjoys spending time with their three grown children, five grandchildren and large extended family.
