Recycling and Conservation Advisory Committee (RCAC)

The Superior Town Board has established a goal to minimize waste generated in Superior through recycling, reuse and pollution prevention. To accomplish this goal, the Board of Trustees approved a measure to create a Waste Diversion Advisory Committee at their meeting on May 14, 2001.  In November of 2005, the committee's name was changed to the Recycling and Conservation Advisory Committee (RCAC)

The Committee was created to advise the Town Board and make recommendations on the needs of the Town for waste diversion activities that are not already in place.  Also they assess the need for enhancement of current waste diversion programs.  RCAC assists the Town Board in establishing priorities for the implementation of waste diversion activities and make recommendations with respect to possible sources of funding for the implementation of waste diversion activities.
