Eats and Entertainment
This year's Annual Chili Fest will be better than ever with great music brought to you by the "GlobalSound Studio's Academy of Rock Bands" and a Colorado favorite "That Eighties Band". Besides the International Chili Society's Regional Cook-Off - there will also be great food (chili samples and gourmet grill cheese from Cheese Louise), great beer provided by Avery Brewing Company, kids inflatables, a rock wall, and activities for the whole family to enjoy! The event will again feature a "Peoples Choice" competition between a number of great area restaurants and includes last year's winner, Rocky Mountain Fire Department. The restaurants and fire department typically serve larger samples and have plenty of chili available.
Chili samples are generously provided by the cooks and are distributed first-come, first-served. Get there early as the samples always go fast. Chili Fest-goers pay $5 for a chili-sampling kit with six compostable tasting cups and a spoon inside - families pay $10 and get two kits of cups and spoons to share. Also included are free soft drinks, and unlimited restaurant chili samples. In addition to soft drinks and water, we will be selling a variety of Avery beer for $3 per beer or $5 for 2 beers.
Please note that we have very limited ability to provide change, so please, no large bills. All money donated from ticket sales and beer goes directly to support the Community First Foundation. The Community First Foundation is helping facilitate support towards the Aurora Victim Relief Fund.
WE NEED CHILI COOKS!
The Chili Fest competition is open to everyone interested, and we need cooks! For those of you who would like to compete in the International Chili Society regionally sanctioned chili cook-off please see Cook Application below. This year's winners will not only have the chance to compete at the ICS's International World Championship Cook-off in Charleston, WV, but they will receive an invitation to this year's World Food Championships held in Las Vegas, NV, November 1-4. The Town of Superior's Chili Cook-Off is only one of 50 cookoffs to be chosen to participate in this amazing competition. Visitwww.worldfoodchampionships.com for additional information.
How to Get Involved
